Mississippi County

On June 17 1978, The bodies of a male and female were discovered along Interstate 55. The male was discovered in Pemiscot County Missouri. The female was discovered in Mississippi County Arkansas near the Burdette exit.

The couple was seen at Scottie's Truck Stop/Resturant in Blytheville, Arkansas. They were last seen, by a truck driver, walking along Interstate 55. The couple was taken to the truck stop by a male, that had been employed by a car dealership in Blytheville, Arkansas. It is unknown how well or if the couple knew the man.

The female, known only as, Jane Doe is described as a white female with hazel eyes. Her approximate height is 5 foot 2 inches weighing approximately 125 pounds. It is believed she was between the ages of 18 and 25. Her hair was approximately 4 to 6 inches long. Light brown to blonde, being more blonde along the ends away from the scalp. At some point in her life, she had given birth. She had an unprofessional tattoo, in blue ink, of the name, "KIM" on her right arm. She was found clothed, wearing a multi-colored shirt, blue jeans, and a silver chain necklace,with a mercury dime pendant, with a hole in it. She was carrying a backpack and bedding.

The Male, Known only as John Doe, is described as, White male, with blue eyes. His approximate height is 5 foot 8 inches weighing approximately 130 to 140 pounds. It is believed he was between the ages of 25 to 30 years. His hair was brown with waves. He wore a mustache and goatee. He was light complected with freckles. He had a scar in the center of his forehead, from his hair line to his eyebrow, He had a tattoo of the initials " " on the outside of his forearm. He was missing several teeth. He was wearing a red pull over short sleeve shirt, with a circle in the middle. In the center of the circle was a dark haired female, with the words "Hot sauce" underneath. Pentimento brand blue jeans. Brown or tan 9 inch lace up boots, size 9 or 10,

It is unknown if the couple started their journey together of met along the way. It is also unknown if the male, who gave them a ride to the truck stop is a suspect. He left the area shortly after the victims were discovered.

This couple has been unidentified for almost 37 years. Somewhere out there two families are wondering what happened to their loved ones.
