Edlin School

Edlin strives to create an environment that fosters academic and personal growth. The students have the opportunity to join in a diverse and advanced academic curriculum based on the classic core subjects of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, but also including athletics, performing and visual arts, foreign languages, and computer access and instruction. The program is an intellectually demanding one that prepares students for the increasingly competitive and rigorous further education awaiting them. The faculty encourages students to express themselves with confidence, clarity, and critical acumen. An ideal student-to-faculty ratio enables teachers to employ a variety of teaching methods and styles designed to help each child reach his or her potential.

Socially, the school seeks to provide a familial, nurturing environment that encourages students to grow in self-esteem that values the dignity of each individual. The school is not parochial but does teach and support the universal values of friendliness, cooperation, and social responsibility. The school encourages students and their families to practice such values in the outside world as well.

The school's director oversees the academic and social interactions of the school. Viewing children as this world's most precious resource, the director's utmost concern is that each student is comfortable and successful while at Edlin School. The director also continually reviews the curriculum, and changes to it are made only with her approval.
