Simpson Security Systems shared Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office's photo.
Things like this are what our company works to prevent. We've installed many camera systems throughout the years, but they only capture what is happening. They don't alert anyone (**in most cases) of what is going on. A Security System could have prevented this entire event from happening. If the school had a Security System and it was armed, our Monitoring Station would have been alerted as soon as these suspects entered the building. The police would have been dispatched and minor or no damage at all would have been done. I'm reposting this to make sure everyone understands that camera systems are great, but they do not warn you of what is happening at that moment. They only capture what is happening so you can watch it at a later date. If you have any information regarding these two suspects, please contact Crime Stoppers or the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office. -C. Simpson **(There are some camera systems out there that can send alarms)
On March 22nd, 2017 at approximately 11pm, two suspects made entry into Tioga High School and Tioga Junior High School where both schools were extensively vandalized and cash was stolen from various locations. Crime Stoppers and an additional reward will be offered for information leading to the arrest of these two suspects. Please call Crime Stoppers at 318-443-7867 if you have information that could be helpful with this investigation. ALL callers remain anonymous.

When is the last time you tested your security system? It needs to be tested monthly to ensure that is is functioning properly and that our monitoring station is receiving the signals! Give us a call at (318) 443-3391 and let us know you'd like to test your system!

Project Spotlight: Aquarium of the Americas - New Orleans, LA Simpson Security is currently working at Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans, Louisiana. We are fully replacing their Fire Alarm system as well as installing an Aspirating Smoke Detection system. Simpson Security technicians have been working with the Aquarium's staff to keep the Aquarium open and the Fire Alarm system operational throughout the entire process. To do this, we've been replacing the old Fire Alarm system in stages, ensuring that no part of the Aquarium loses it's Fire Detection capabilities. Shutting down a Fire Alarm system can be costly and dangerous. By using this method, we can keep the Fire Alarm system up and running so everyone is protected while visiting the Aquarium.
