At RLC, trained volunteer tutors work with adult students on Basic Literacy and English as a Second Language (ESL). Tutors meet with their students either in-center or at other approved sites throughout Racine County.
Goals are very important at the RLC. Students choose personal, educational, work related, and community related goals. To assist in achieving these goals our core curriculum is supplemented by computer work, realia, and materials from our library that teach life skills. Computers are equipped with a variety of educational software. In addition to Basic Literacy and ESL, students may wish to meet with tutors who specialize in math, driver's education, citizenship, and computer literacy.
