Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters (CBBBS), serving Los Angeles County, is the local affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America—the largest donor-supported volunteer network in the country. Our national organization is proud to serve more than 200,000 children (we call them "Littles"), most of whom come from low-income homes, are at-risk youth, or face adversity in their daily lives.
At CBBBS, we enable children and families of all backgrounds and faiths to reach their fullest potential. But we can't achieve this goal without the enthusiasm and generosity of people like you!
No matter how small, your donations to CBBBS enable us to recruit African-American and Latino male volunteers (bilingualism is a big plus!), conduct background checks, and provide the ongoing support needed for kids, families, and volunteers to sustain life-changing, long-term relationships.
We also host a wide variety of fun, community-centered events. Check out for information about Bowl for Kids’ Sake, our big yearly fundraiser.
Independent research has demonstrated kids with Big Brother or Sister mentors are more likely to do well in school, avoid violent behavior, stay away from drugs and illegal influences, and break generational negative cycles. It truly doesn't take much to change a life forever.
