The BW Conservatory of Music presents an opera that draws on history with fresh relevance to today's conversation about religious intolerance. Dialogue of the Carmelites, directed by Scott Skiba, is based the true story of the Martyrs of Compiègne, nuns who were guillotined in Paris for refusing to renounce their vows. Runs February 23-26. Look who walked the red carpet at this year’s Grammys as a first-time nominee! BW violin performance major Felicia Rojas ’10 was nominated with the Mariachi Divas. The Divas didn't win this year, but return to the studio soon to produce their 13th album, one they hope will be a Grammy contender next year.
