Skills is one of the oldest and largest private, non-profit human services organizations, providing a comprehensive array of support services to people with special needs. In 1960, Skills was founded in Bellefonte, PA by parents of children with special needs. At that time, programs and services for special needs children did not exist after they were out of school. Over the years, Skills has expanded its mission and list of services to meet the needs of more than 900 individuals living within 16 central Pennsylvania counties. Skills currently employees over 1000 people in our communities.
