In 1986 Mike Chapman, Ken Parr, and Gary Gill founded Chapman, Parr, Gill, Inc., a surveying and engineering firm. For the next 15 years the firm provided superior services to municipalities and businesses in and around Ponca city, Oklahoma. In 2001 the firm expanded its operations to include an office in Tulsa and changed its name to Chapman, Cottle, Gill and Associates, Inc.

In 2005 the firm experienced another period of growth. Dwain Garner, was added as a partner in January and in May the firm's name was changed to CGA Engineers, Inc. to better reflect the firm's professional focus. In February of 2006 the firm consolidated its offices to Tulsa. In 2008 CGA Engineers, Inc. received certification from the Cherokee Nation Employment Rights Office, allowing the firm to further expand its client base.

Today the firm continues to provide engineering and surveying services to Northeastern Oklahoma from the Ponca City area in the west to the extreme eastern border.
