My wife and I established sunny Auto Body in 1996, where we continue to grow and appreciate our customers as much as we hope they appreciate us.
I came to the United States, settling in Hawaii in 1978, with my parents and siblings after many years of moving from home to home, country to country, as Chinese refugees from Burma.
Apprenticing at a body shop the very same year in Honolulu, I was able to hone my love and craft for automobile repairs over the years. After our family struggled for several years, we made the hard decision to move to San Francisco, CA.
I gained a tremendous amount of experience working for large operations throughout the next several years. Not long after I would meet my wife and begin to build a business of our very own.
My wife and I opened the Sunny Auto Body business in 1996. As first time owners, it was tough. We learned on a daily basis while dealing with employees, suppliers, customers and much more. Now, with my son, Denny, by my side we have been growing our business by focusing on 3 core ideas: service, quality and value.
We wanted to slowly grow our business and decided that small neighborhood shops were to way to go. We are committed to nurturing a presence in the local community and not overwhelm our neighbors and customers.
It has paid off well. We have expanded and upgraded our original store and now offer two locations in the San Francisco Bay area.
