We have received numerous messages expressing concern over one of the groups running for Commissioners of the borough utilizing our picture as the banner on their page. The picture seems to have been removed, and unfortunately there wasn't much we could do about it, seeing how the department is a public entity, and the picture appeared to have been taken from a common place. While this is not a major issue, utilizing a picture of our department gives an image the department is backing a certain party. Audubon Fire Department proudly serves all residents and visitors to our borough and does not engage in any political campaigns. We wish luck to all of the candidates this Tuesday, and look forward to working with our next group of leaders to make Audubon the best place to be in South Jersey.

Audubon Fire Department shared New York City Fire Department (FDNY)'s post.
“The bunting that was just put up is a sign that this firehouse, and the whole Fire Department, is in mourning over this death of a great hero for the Department. It’s an outstanding tradition. We’re here for the family, not just tonight – we will always be here for this family, as we are for every family of every one of the members this Department has lost,” says FDNY Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro at the bunting ceremony for Firefighter William N. Tolley, who made the Supreme Sacrifice on April 20, 2017. Captain Richard Blasi says, “The support from the community is what we’re here for. It’s what turns us out every day. It’s what keeps us doing what we need to do in the spirit that Billy liked to do it in. He didn’t just love this job, he had a passion for it. We love you all and we thank you all for your support.” FDNY Firefighter Edwin Brown, Firefighter Javier Rodriguez, and Firefighter Travis Uvena draped purple and black bunting on the exterior of Ladder 135 and Engine 286, where Firefighter William N. Tolley served. Firefighter Tolley is survived by his wife, Marie, and his daughter, Isabella. He is the 1147th member of the Department to make the Supreme Sacrifice while serving our city.
