Join us on May 20th for AHRA's 26th Annual River Cleanup/ Greenup and the 1st Annual Colorado Public Lands Day! You never know what you might find, junk or treasure. And after cleaning up, it's time to relax with a volunteer picnic at Salida's Riverside Park. Colorado became the first state in the nation to establish a holiday recognizing the value of public lands within the state. From now on, the third Saturday in May will be known as Colorado Public Lands Day celebrating the significant contributions these lands have to our state. Public lands and waters are crucial to our way of life and economy in Colorado. Our public lands and waters are vital resources providing water for cities and towns, protection of wildlife habitat and fisheries, and they offer vast recreation opportunities. Leadville is also joining in the action on May 20th https://www.facebook.com/events/107201336490448 So see you May 20th!
