Lockerly was founded by Mr. Grassmann in 1966. He loved Milledgeville and wished for Lockerly to be a gift to a community he loved. We honor his wish by being free and open to the public. We serve approximately 5,000 school children each year with education programs that focus on earth science, life science, botany and more.
