Boxerwood - a Nature Center and Woodland Garden located in Lexington, Virginia - is situated in a rolling Virginia valley nestled between the Allegany and Appalachian Mountains.
Boxerwood sponsors many educational programs, special events, and community activities to further its mission. You can see upcoming events, or look through the photo albums for past events.
Boxerwood's education staff conducts programs for area preschools through middle schools either on site. Others occur at local schools and along local rivers. Because Boxerwood is in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, many of BEA's activities focus on watershed protection.
Through our garden program, we conduct and host education programs for adults through workshops, walks, and speakers.
