95 year-old WW II veteran Ken Miller will be giving a talk and will be answering questions at Accent on Basic Skills Tutoring Center on Sat. April 1 (not a joke) at 3:00 pm. Mr. Miller was a medic here in the states during the war and he worked mostly with battle-fatigue (shell-shocked) patients. He has some amazing stories to tell about the war years and his observations about life. Please come meet and listen to Ken. There are not many of his generation left. We now again have a Notary Public here at the tutoring center. If you need something notarized, Cathy is back. Feel free to share this information. Accent on Basic Skills Tutoring Center and Notary Services: 8560 Vineyard Ave. #512 Rancho Cucamonga, CA. 91730 (909) 980-5388.

Spring Break is here for many students and this is a great time to catch up on any remedial learning that needs to be done without having to spend time on homework responsibilities from school. Many parents do not send their children to tutoring during holiday times, but it is best to keep attending as there is always more to learn and subjects to review. Stay on point and keep the gears of the mind moving in order to catch up and/or return to school with a strong return.

Yesterday, I met a 96 year-old WWII veteran who was a medic during the war. He dealt mostly with psychiatric patients who were shipped stateside. His name is Ken and he said he would like to come to the tutoring center to give a talk, answer some questions, and to provide inspiration to all of us. I will keep you all posted about the date and the time.
