Artisan Center Theater produces Broadway style musicals in our 195-seat theater-in-the-round on Main Stage and additional plays, musical revues and special events in the new 150-seat thrust stage theater located across the main lobby. This theater is called Second Stage and is also the home of Artisan Children's Theater, producing high quality children's shows where children perform for children.
As part of our mission to "create opportunities to experience uplifting family-friendly theater," Artisan offers a complete program of theatrical education, dance and performing arts classes throughout the year.
Founded in 2002 as Artisan Productions Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, Artisan Center Theater is one of the entities operating under the non-profit umbrella. The first production, Steel Magnolias, was presented in 2003 and now serves more than 100,000 patrons each year.
