Welcome to the School for Ethical Education! SEE is a not-for-profit teaching organization that provides classes, creates programs and offers consultation services to promote strategies for comprehensive ethics and character education.
SEE provides many programs including the Laws of Life Essay Program, Youth: Ethics in Service, Integrity Works program, and Ethics in Action.
The Laws of Life Essay Program is an excellent character-education program that focuses on character development, giving Connecticut students in grades 5-12 the unique opportunity to reflect and write about their core values, principles, and ideals that will guide them throughout their lives.
Youth: Ethics in Service (YES), promotes the use of service-learning by K-12 teachers. SEE provides a Step-by-Step Guide and consulting to help teachers learn to use service-learning as a teaching methodology for academic achievement, civic engagement and character development.
Integrity Works! is a program that provides resources for schools to advance student ethical development with the specific goal to resist academic dishonesty. SEE has hard copy and electronic resources along with consulting services to help teachers reduce cheating in its many forms and advance integrity. Integrity Works! also conducts a pubic service announcemnet (PSA) contest with the goal to have students affirm the value of academic integrity in a manner that can be shared in their school as well as the broader on-line community.
