Days of Art runs all weekend (4/22-4/23) on Pier View Way! Don't miss the world-class Oceanside Museum of Art when you visit!
ODA is a juried fine art festival featuring up to and sometimes over 100 local artists selling a variety of unique artwork including paintings, sculptures, glass, ceramics, fine jewelry, and photography. The festival which is offered free to the public has live stage performances, children’s and adult’s hands on art activities, street chalk artist, painting and sculpture demonstrations, and a delicious variety of food choices in the food court. Applications for artists are now being accepted (see application form below). As part of Oceanside Days of Art, Oceanside Museum of Art offers half-price admission to its indoor exhibitions to the general public and has special art projects for the kids and families on the terrace 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, both days, at 704 Pier View Way, Oceanside, CA 92054. No art experience is required and all art supplies will be provided. Children also have an opportunity to explore the museum through a kid-centric tour. Oceanside Days of Art is conveniently held at the corner of Coast Hwy 101 and Pier View Way in downtown Oceanside. Visitors can purchase a variety of food usually ranging from Hunter Steak House to Mariposa Homemade Ice Cream at ODA’s food court. Hundreds of pieces of art by high school students from Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista will be on display at the Oceanside Photo And Telescope’s OPT Underground Gallery, 918 Mission Ave., Oceanside, as part of the Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League’s annual High School Art Show, with its grand conclusion through Oceanside Days of Art. The free exhibition, promoted by Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation, features paintings, mixed media, graphics, ceramics, photography, and sculpture. The gallery will be open not only the two weekend dates of the 25th annual Oceanside Days of Art, but also a couple of weeks prior leading to the event. The awards reception for student artists will be at OPT Underground Gallery (stay tuned for a date – to be announced soon).

Night work is planned at Oceanside Transit Center beginning tonight, Monday, April 10 through Saturday, April 15, as well as next week, Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21. Crews will be working throughout the project area to construct the new third track and test the new track, walkway, signals, and rail switches. Nearby residents can expect nighttime noise and lights.
