NCJW is the oldest women's volunteer organization in the United States. There are 119 sections in 34 states and the District of Columbia. NCJW has 47 affiliates worldwide called the International Council of Jewish Women. The Greater New Orleans Section, founded in 1897, has approximately 1000 members.
