As a result of an annual tradition of baking cookies with two dear friends, to give to family and friends as holiday gifts, the idea of a pretzel treat was conceived. The original was what has become the "Grande" and "Petite": a rod pretzel dipped in caramel, rolled in rice krispies and dipped in chocolate.
This became an instant hit to those who received them, so much so, that people called me throughout the following year, asking me to make them for other occasions. I was delighted to do so and this started me thinking about other pretzel creations.
Setting out to find the perfect blend of chocolates and other ingredients to create a unique hand-dipped pretzel was an exciting challenge. I believe I have found a new combination of flavor and texture unlike anything you've experienced.
