Sunny Skies Preschool

Sunny Skies Preschool (Day Care, Child Care) located in Sunset Park Brooklyn, Midwood Brooklyn, Lower East Side New York City is to provide the families we serve with a program that fulfills the educational, emotional and social needs of their children in a fun, loving and safe environment. The children thrive in the curriculum especially designed by Sunny Skies Preschool founder, Margarycel Nunez.

Ms. Nunez combined various theoretical methods of education with advanced academics and social development concepts in order to create a curriculum that addresses the needs of children while preparing them for a very competitive world where the expectations go far beyond reading and writing. We have set high standards for our children, however, we know that there are many different types of learners and that each child needs to follow their own rhythm; we encourage them to be the very best children they could possibly be, no matter their abilities.

Ethics, self-awareness and individualism are at the core of our lesson plans and daily activities; children who attend our program learn firsthand how to take responsibility for themselves and their actions. We take an age-appropriate approach to teaching them the joys of being self sufficient and independent by teaching them manners, personal hygiene and respect for oneself and others while giving them the nurturing, loving care that every child needs.

It is our belief that in order for children to grow happy and healthy, they need the right combination of academic, social and motor experiences, supplemented with a high dose of tender, loving care. Every event in life should be a learning opportunity and with a curriculum full of open-ended inquiries that maximizes student participation while at the same time having lots of fun with friends. It makes learning a natural process.

Sunny Skies Preschool follows this specifically designed educational curriculum program because while teaching Pre-K, Ms. Nunez researched all available programs and found that none addressed educating all aspects of the child and started modeling what has become the secret to our children’s academic success, as they go on to gifted and talented programs, magnet schools and advanced placement classes after graduating from Sunny Skies Preschool.
