Good Shepherd is a Missouri Synod Lutheran congregation that serves central Morris County, New Jersey with Word and Sacrament ministry. People of various backgrounds come together to hear the Word of God preached and sung for the comfort of knowing all our sins are forgiven by virtue of the atoning death of Jesus Christ. Each week we receive that promise and gift of forgiveness under his body and blood in the Sacrament of the Altar, Holy Communion. We support our local food bank, a house for children involved in the judicial system, and a crisis pregnancy center.
Our current pastor is the Rev. Aaron Uphoff, who was ordained and installed in July of 2014.
