The scrap metal market continues it's downward slump. Today, prices are as low as they have been in decades. The low pricing is even worse when you take inflation into account. Scrap prices were as low as $1.00 CWT in 1999. However, everything was cheaper at that time as well, to include gasoline, food, etc. We know that it is depressing to bring in scrap metal for recycling, only to get a few dollars for it. We share your pain.
On the bright side, we are still here for our customers. We are the only recycling company in the region who has not cut our hours. Recycling is still the right thing to do, even in this bad market.
While we may see small upward ticks in pricing over the next couple of quarters, we do not expect any major recovery until at least mid 2016 or later. Why are we telling you this? Because we have always built our business around honesty. We will always be up front with you on pricing, and we will always strive to provide you with the best service.
Lastly, the notation on the left side of this page says, "Permanently Closed." That is not accurate, but we have yet to figure out how to change that. We are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Come see us!
