The Splash Pad opens for the season today! Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily, unless otherwise stated for special events. Great news . . . and just in time for the warm weekend ahead. . . The splash pad in Drexel Town Square is now OPEN for the season! The splash pad can be found on the west side of the town square, north of the Civic Center building. The water may be activated from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily (unless otherwise stated for maintenance or special events) from now until Labor Day. Three silver buttons on the pad will activate a four-minute water cycle, with different features turning on and off within that cycle. While the water is active, two additional red buttons provide an opportunity for interaction, changing the water from a geyser to a flower spray! When not splashing around, visitors can enjoy seating areas around the perimeter of the splash pad.

The annual Memorial Day Observance will take place Monday, May 29th at 9:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Memorial Park, 3031 E. Forest Hill Ave. This year's program includes the unveiling of a new statue in front of the Veteran's memorial. As always, guests are welcome to stay for refreshments after the program. Please bring your own lawn chairs!

The City of Oak Creek's government offices, including City Hall, Library and Recycling Yard, will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2017 for the Memorial Day holiday. Emergency services will continue. All city offices will return to their normal business hours on Tuesday, May 30. Just a reminder . . . for Memorial Day week, there is an adjusted trash and recycling pickup schedule; Collection will be one day later than normal until the end of the week.

City of Oak Creek Government shared Oak Creek-Franklin Foundation for Education (OCFFE)'s event.
As you make your plans for the upcoming holiday weekend, don't forget about Art in the Park, held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Henry Miller Park. Over 55 artists from across the state will be featured. Admission is free, but donations are accepted and will go to the Oak Creek-Franklin Foundation for Education (OCFFE), an independent, community-based organization dedicated to developing future business and community leaders through educational grants and scholarships.
This event is held adjacent to Oak Creek High School in the beautiful Henry Miller Park. Over 55 artists from across the state will be featured at our event this year. Very excited to be holding this 2nd Annual event in Oak Creek. Bring the kids for hands on free activities offered by Kohl's Color Wheel. Try your hand at throwing pottery on a wheel for a small fee. Enjoy music from members of the High School band. Great food from the @[195189903835620:274:Oak Creek Lions Club] and @[754967681198966:274:Meat on the Street]. See you Saturday morning starting at 9am. Admission is free but donations appreciated. All donations will receive a reusable OCFFE market bag.
