Hello world! We are Tom, Anne and Ranae Lantry, siblings owning and operating White Eagle Resort. Our parents Mike and Bonnie originally bought the place in 1990, previously Vos Resort. Over the past two plus decades, our family has done something unique in the resorting industry; while other resorts were adding cabins to their properties, we rebuilt and remodeled, but have less cabins now than when we started. Keeping the resort small has kept it close to our family's heart.
The years went by, the three of us grew up living and working at the resort. We went to college and ventured down career paths of our own. Eventually, each of us came back to where it all began.
In 2013, we purchased the resort from our parents. We started together in 1990, working as a family to recreate White Eagle's rustic fishing camp beginning into the upscale family retreat it is today. Now in 2016, we continue to work together transitioning White Eagle into a destination for future generations of lake loving vacationers.
Whether a secluded retreat for two or a big family reunion, we want to give our guests the space to feel connected. We want each group to feel at home. We view the vacationers who stay with us as extensions of our family; and, although we rent to many different family and friend groups throughout each year, while you are here at the lake, you are home.
Mike and Bonnie still live in their house onsite and maintain their positions as the resort experts. The transfer of ownership has been a process. Through it all we have chosen to stay firmly rooted in the traditions that have made White Eagle a much loved home away from home. We continue to meet the needs of current guests while evolving to welcome new generations. We are happy to continue as stewards of our beautiful Lake Vermilion property and excited to welcome you for the 2016 season!
