Clark Manor House is a not for profit Adult Home with a long history of caring. Since 1899, when Mary Clark Thompson formed Clark Manor in memory of her parents, it has provided a caring, gracious, home for area seniors. The operation and maintenance are provided by a Board of Managers. All care is approved by appropriate agencies of the State of New York.

Our Mission is to deliver quality services, housing and programs that promote quality of life and dignity among senior adults at a
reasonable cost.

We have 15 single rooms and a suite for married couples or siblings. All have their own private bathroom.

We offer carefree living and quality care in a welcoming home-like environment. Clark Manor provides a very rare senior living community unlike most other “institutions.” At Clark Manor, we treat each other like family. Our long standing commitment to residents has been in place for over 100 years.

Our Staff:
We treat each other like family at Clark Manor. That means, the staff care for the residents and the residents care about the staff. Many of our staff have been on site for over five years. There is little turnover because we love our jobs. This is not an institution. We like it here, and our Board of Managers have served for many years and look out for the needs of our employees and residents equally.

Transition Care:
Transitional planning assistance is provided to resident and family when a higher, more skilled level of health care is needed. We
ensure continuity of care during the discharge or transfer process.

Criteria for Admission
The following describes individuals who Clark Manor House can best serve:

• Individuals who can ambulate 200 feet with or without assistive devices and manage stairs in case of emergency. Examples of assistive devices are walkers and canes.
• Individuals who are continent of bladder and bowel or can manage incontinence independently.
• Individuals who need/choose assistance with medication.
• Individuals who need minimal assistance with dressing and bathing.
• Individuals who can eat independently (although staff can provide assistance with cutting food, opening containers, etc.)
• Individuals who meet financial eligibility.
Note: Individuals with medical conditions/equipment needs may be appropriate for admission. Each situation will be considered individually and will need to be discussed with the Administrator and meet New York Department of Health criteria for an Adult Home.
