We’re heading out west for this week’s dealer spotlight! With an office and four hangars located on the Slaton Municipal Airport outside of Lubbock, Larry Neal and the staff of Neal Aircraft service operators in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico and Colorado. The guys at Neal Aircraft have been in business since 1980 and an Air Tractor dealer since 1986. Larry has been involved in the agricultural aircraft and general aviation industry for over 45 years. From his time as a Piper distributor, flying Pawnees and Braves to 45 of the 50 states, Canada, Iceland, Mexico and selling them into Israel and Africa, Larry has developed life long customers and friends in the aerial application industry in all corners of the globe. Larry’s son Robert came to Neal Aircraft to carry the Neal family name in aviation into the next generation. Robert is involved in everything from aircraft sales to parts delivery and serves as the company Vice President. Neal Aircraft is proud of the fact that their customers are doing great work around the region, including the brave work of GB Aerial Applications in fighting some of the biggest fires this area of the country has seen in a long time. You can see some amazing footage here: http://tinyurl.com/yc9nd5mb Apart from the regular day-to-day work of running a major dealership, Neal Aircraft is heavily involved in the surrounding community. In August they hosted a "We Back the Blue" fish fry that raised $15,000 for new bullet-proof vests for the Slaton PD, and will be partnering with the Slaton Lion's Club for a back to school scholarship fundraiser. They’ll also just sponsored a fly-in for the Texas Air Museum on June 10th. www.nealraircraft.com #NealAircraft #AirTractor

Both the Senate and House released legislation reathorizing the FAA this week. The House bill includes privatization of air traffic control but exempts general aviation aircraft--including ag aircraft--from user fees, a longtime NAAA position.
House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-Pa.) prepared on Wednesday to release the text of a new six-year "transformational" FAA reauthorization bill that would separate Air Traffic Control functions from the FAA. But the bill resists airport calls for more self-hel...

#ATismyEverything I’m proud of our reputation for customer support. You trust us to get the parts, the technical information, the service you need—when you need it. We build on that trust by having parts ready to ship—from bolts to major assemblies. Or being ready to repair heavy damage quickly—even if it means working weekends or holidays. You do everything you can to keep your customers happy. So do I. My mission: provide everything you need to stay in the air.

A great Center for Disease Control site to refer skeptical folks to about the benefits of aerial application in controlling deadly, disease-carrying mosquitoes...
