Council members are appointed or elected by membership organizations as follows: Montana Stockgrowers, Montana Cattlemen's Association, Montana CattleWomen, Livestock Auction Markets, Cattle Feeders, Meat Packer/Processor, Farm Bureau, Farmers Union, Retailer, Dairymen, and Montana Angus Association.
