FALL FAMILY WEEKEND 2017 is coming!!! Re/Connect October 13-15, 2017 Join us this fall with your whole family as we Unplug and Re/Connect (focus on making time in the presence of God a priority). We are going to Listen (seeking to hear the “still small voice of God”) And then we will step out in faith and Respond (recognizing that when we Re/Connect to God, and Listen for his call in our life, that we are often called to action and challenged to respond). We invite you into this time of worship, fellowship and renewal. This year our Family Weekend will be led by Clearbranch UMC's associate pastor, Jeremy Auvil who is assembling a team of leadership to provide you with an outstanding Family experience! Registration is now open by contacting Jamie@sumatanga.org or calling 256-538-9860. We can't wait to Re/Connect with you at Sumatanga! Jeremy Auvil

"What is Sumatanga to me? Sumatanga is the place a broken woman found solitude, rest, peace, comfort, guidance, and a sweet touch from the Savior. A place where she found quiet in the restlessness of her noisy circumstances. A place where she found healing of her shattered spirit. It wasn't a place of ownership. Like the clenched fists of a small child. No shouting "mine, mine, mine". It is a place she wants to share with all. BELIEVER and UNBELIEVER alike. So they may too find healing and a deep spiritual connection with Abba Father. A place she is thankful for. A place the Father gave her rest and vision." May we find new ways to offer relevant ministry for those who are seeking God TODAY. May we find ways to help them encounter the Living Christ, in their circumstances, TODAY. May we offer them new opportunities for God to meet them at the most intimate and personal of all places....RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE. God, hear our prayers.

We hope you safely got to enjoy today's eclipse like we did at Sumatanga. JOHN 1:5 "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." What if we talked about the light of Christ as enthusiastically as we talked about the Eclipse? Something to think about.
