Capt. Dave Tanges on Reelsport II had a great day of fishing last week... A 41# wahoo, a big sailfish and mahi too. Congrats Dave and team!

We are wishing everyone a happy New Year, filled with boating and fishing! Here's some fun fishing resolutions...
Here are some “resolutions” for 2017 designed to get you out on the water. Trust me, these are resolutions you’ll want to stick to.

Day two of clean-up after Hurricane Matthew. We are thankful that we didn't get the eye of the Category 4 Hurricane, as predicted, and that it stayed offshore by 25 miles. Also thankful that all our boats are still floating, some more intact than others. There are a few broken masts, some docklines snapped, dock boxes blew away, and one boat fell off its lift onto the dock. So the docks and the roofs suffered some damage, but nothing that cannot be repaired or replaced, in good time. We still don't have power in the area, so we will take this day to continue cleaning up debris, and will not be open for business today. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

We have battened down the hatches in preparation for Hurricane Matthew. Lots of boat owners came out to take extra care with their vessels, doubling up lines and tying down loose ends. We even took the Marlin off his roost above the fish rack and tucked him away for safe keeping. Please join us in our prayers for safety, better weather and calm seas.

We sent Jim out in style Wednesday evening as many friends and boaters came to wish him "fare-thee-well!" The weather was iffy, approaching tropical storm sent us all inside at one point, but it didn't dampen the spirit. Good Luck, Jim, as you move into retirement - already so busy with plans of building a Salsa business and a B&B in Panama. We'll all miss you!
