Resident-veterans at La Vida Real, our senior living community in Rancho San Diego, had a high-flying good time aboard a Boeing Stearman biplane. The flights were a result of a partnership with The Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation, a non-profit organization established and dedicated to honoring seniors and United States military veterans. Through donors, the Foundation provides Dream Flights in a Boeing Stearman biplane, the same aircraft used to train many military aviators in the 1940s. Ten La Vida Real residents participated in the event including Isaac Israel, who is 100 years old. Mr. Israel was a military pilot and had in fact trained on one of these very planes. Friends and family joined in the fun as the plane flew over the community. Everyone has a spectacular time, especially the community’s veterans!
