West Point Public Schools is a Class III School District located in Northeast Nebraska. West Point has a unique educational process in that there are three parochial school systems within the district. The demographics of the West Point School District have changed substantially in the past decade with a steady increase in the number of minority students and also students who qualify for free/reduced meals. To meet the needs of our changing demographics, the district currently provides ELL instruction and reading intervention programs to qualified students.
School-wide Title I programs are provided at West Point Elementary School and Beemer Elementary School. An alternative education program is available at the high school. College credit courses are available for high school school students.
The West Point Public Schools also has a comphrehensive special education program. West Point Public Schools continuously strive to provide a top quality education for all students.
