Sheriff Orvis Campbell began his service to Tuscarawas County working for the late Judge George Demis in 1990. Campbell was then hired as Deputy Sheriff by retired Sheriff Harold McKimmie in 1994. Campbell served as a road Patrol Deputy, Detective, Detective Sergeant, Detective Lieutenant, Detective Captain and Chief Deputy within the Office before being elected Sheriff in 2016. Sheriff Campbell has investigated and solved numerous murder cases for the office as well as other high profile cases. Campbell is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
