Since 1990 Gateway Mortgage is one of the longest established mortgage brokerage firms in the St. Louis region serving clients since 1990. The strong foundations of the company have allowed us to survive an era that has seen some of the most sweeping changes in industry history.
We are expanding rapidly, changing our image and marketing philosophy with the times, but still strictly adhering to the proven business model of excellence and honesty that has made us the selection of over 10,000 homeowners over those many years.
Our Foundation Gateway Mortgage Company, began servicing mortgage loans throughout the State of Missouri in 1990. The original ownership group of Don Davis and Robert Chambers, along with 6 of the largest home builders in St. Louis, built a strong foundation of customers that continue to use Gateway Mortgage today.
In 1999, Ryan Sandvoss and Jay Bader formed RJ Commercial Funding, Inc. (RJCFI); both were Loan Officers for Gateway Residential Group, a local mortgage company that was a former subsidiary of Gateway Mortgage Company, RJCFI then later acquired Gateway Residential Group and naming rights from Gateway Mortgage Company, filing with the State of Missouri to establish the current operating business named Gateway Mortgage.
In 2013, Ryan Sandvoss has acquired sole ownership of RJCFI, thus Gateway Mortgage. He is committed to leading the company into a new era of growth and prosperity with a new image, website and modern marketing philosophy.
Today The name “Gateway Mortgage” is respected throughout the industry and marketplace as one of the premier mortgage brokerage firms in the region. The tradition continues as the core of the company has remained intact and many of the company’s original customers do business with Gateway Mortgage today.
