Founded in 2010 CORE autosport started out in the IMSA Prototype Lites Series before becoming five-time IMSA Prototype Challenge Champions from 2011 - 2015. In 2014, Porsche chose CORE autosport as its competition partner for a two-car factory IMSA GTLM program, which is operated out of CORE's Rock Hill shop. In 2016, the team added a Red Bull Global Rallycross GRC Lites program to its arsenal and in 2017 it switched from PC to GT Daytona with a Porsche 911 GT3 R.
