A special congrats to Utah's Hogle Zoo for its recent unveiling of Hope Springs, a sensory wall for kids with disabilities, located in the Creekside Play Area. This one-of-a kind mosaic resulted from a collaboration between the zoo, the children of Matt’s Place — a treatment facility in Centerville for children with autism and developmental disabilities — and Roger Whiting, a local artist. It is now on display for all zoo visitors to enjoy! Last year, Roger and staff members from the zoo visited Matt's Place once a week for several months to teach the kids about animals, art, ceramics and design. Hope Springs is made up of hundreds of mosaic tiles, swirling lines and a base that looks like a water spring, a true reflection of the creativity and interests of the kids involved. Les Schwab is happy to support the Creekside Play Area in Utah’s Hogle Zoo, which gives kids and families a place for inclusive play. #OurTownOurStories #ProudSposnor

We have a lot of hard-working equipment in each of our stores, but the popcorn machine might be the busiest. Grab a bag while we check your brakes — for free.

Last month, our Murray Les Schwab Tire Center opened its parking lot to Cheer Salt Lake, an adult-volunteer cheer team that raises money for health-related nonprofits. The team held a car wash fundraiser to benefit the Volunteers of America Youth Resource Center, which provides emergency shelter beds, 24/7 assistance, meals and legal services to 800 Salt Lake City area teens. Cheer Salt Lake team members had a blast making residents’ cars sparkle, and they even squeezed in a few cheers while hard at work! We thank them for motivating the Salt Lake area community through their words of encouragement and positive action. If you missed the Murray event, you can stop by the Park Silly Sunday Market in Park City on July 16 to enjoy Cheer Salt Lake’s performance and donate to Volunteers of America. #OurTownOurStories #ProudSponsor

Did you know a baby goes through an average of eight to 12 diapers a day? Because a month’s supply can cost more than $100, one in three parents in the U.S. can’t afford them. WestSide Baby puts diapers in the hands of parents who need them most. To support WestSide Baby’s annual Stuff the Bus diaper drive, the King County Les Schwab team donated 7,364 diapers – 2,000 more than last year! In 2016, Westside Baby collected more than 1.4 million diapers for low-income families in Western King County. Because of the generosity of our community, fewer families will have to make the difficult decision between diapers and food or other services. WestSide Baby also collects clothing and toys. If you’d like to donate, visit the organization’s website to find a list of items needed and donation locations: http://westsidebaby.org/stuffthebus2017/ #OurTownOurStories #ProudSponsor

Prior to competing at the 63rd annual City County All Star Football game on June 16, about 30 of the recently graduated players visited the Valley Children's Hospital in Madera with gifts that made the kids smile. The players and patients walked around the hospital, getting to know each other and encouraging the kids. Les Schwab has been honored to help the hospital provide the best care for the children through our past fundraisers, and we are proud of these athletes for extending themselves for young people in their community! #OurTownOurStories #ProudSponsor
