Conveyors: Keeping little soldiers in line: In bakery operations, conveyors could be considered the unsung heroes. Even in an operation not fully automated, they are getting baked goods from makeup to packaging … and all the points in between. Whether heading out of the proofer, through the oven or into a package, how products line up and space out on a conveyor can mean the difference between a quality, consistent product and one that is damaged, wasted or, worse, improperly packaged and eventually recalled.
