Come join us for worship at 8:30 or 11:00 During the school year, we have a great Sunday school program for both adults and kids; Sunday school begins at 9:45 and will resume on September 7th.
Our worship services include a spirited blend of traditional and contemporary music and worship styles led by the Worship Ensemble. In our services you will hear a balance of your favorite traditional hymns with Pipe Organ accompaniment and new standards by some of today's leading worship music songwriters with piano, guitar, and rhythm accompaniment.
We offer Holy Communion weekly and the flow of each service is printed entirely in our weekly worship bulletin, which includes all prayers, readings, and music, so it's easy to follow along.
Bethel was founded in 1820 by a group of German Lutherans who migrated to this area of the Shenandoah Valley from Pennsylvania. At Bethel, we share with our forebears a desire to follow the call of Jesus Christ and reach out in ministry to the Winchester/Frederick County community and to our neighbors around the world. Bethel is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
