Communities In Schools of Caldwell County is part of the national Communities In Schools network, is the leading dropout prevention organization in the nation, and the only such organization that is proven to both decrease the dropout rate and increase on-time graduation rates.
We want every child in Caldwell County to graduate from high school, prepared for college or a career. CIS provides assistance to the four middle and thre high schools by connecting students and their families to critical community resources, tailored to local needs.
In turn, CIS provides students with five basics: a one-on-one relationship with a caring adult, a safe place to learn and grow, a healthy start and future, a marketable skill to use upon graduation, and a chance to give back to peers and the community.
