Here are the results of yesterday's "Guess my Breed"! Barry was adopted from Humane Society of West Michigan and his new owner got him DNA tested for Christmas! Here are his results! He is 50% mixed breed which couldn't be pinpointed to an exact breed, however the three types of breeds included in that mix are Herding, Guard, and Companion. He is then equal parts Beagle, Chow Chow, Shiba Inu, and Labrador Retriever. Break down of the groups is in the comments below! Thanks for all your guesses! We had a lot of fun reading through the comments. Have you DNA tested a dog you adopted from Humane Society of West Michigan? Private message us the results, and we may use him/her for Guess My Breed in the future!

Humane Society of West Michigan will be CLOSED today until 1:00 PM for staff training. We will be opening our doors one hour later than typical. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Meet Barry! He was adopted from Humane Society of West Michigan in June 2017. Barry came from another shelter, making his history a mystery to us. We had to guess on his breed, as there was no way of us knowing what he was mixed with without a DNA test. Barry is doing wonderful in his new home and his owner recently got him DNA tested! Guess what the results are in the comments below. We will share Barry's results tomorrow! Have you DNA tested a dog you adopted from Humane Society of West Michigan? Private message us the results, and we may use him/her for Guess My Breed in the future!
