Charles Smith founded Smith Equipment Inc., a family owned business, in 1977. With over 25 years experience Smith Equipment was known as a leading edge innovator in the Yard Tractor industry. The business has dramatically diversified through the years to include new and used truck sales, leasing programs, truck restorations and one of the largest yard tractor parts inventories in the country. Sadly Charlie passed away in November of 2000.

The family tradition continues as Scott Huvler, who joined Eagle Mark 4 as vice president in 1984, has been the driving force behind the success of our company. Scott has 28 years of experience in all facets of the yard tractor industry including factory, dealer and end user. As such he is uniquely qualified to understand your companys needs and requirements regardless of application. Under Scott’s leadership, a special emphasis has been placed on developing a parts sales and distribution system that offers prompt and reliable support for our products.

Scott and his team at Eagle Mark 4 continue the tradition of innovation with a state of the art yard tractor restoration facility and offering products such as the Eagle Mark Cab. The Eagle Mark Cab is a unit that retrofits 70 to 80% of the tractors in service today. Scott and his team are as committed today as Charlie was in providing high quality parts, service and your complete restoration needs no matter what brand of yard tractor your company uses.

In 1990 the company was renamed to a more patriotic name in support of the Gulf War to Eagle Mark 4. The company’s main purpose was to supply yard trucks and terminal tractor equipment to the eastern United States region and service parts worldwide. Since that time it has grown to service customers around the world in over 97 countries. It maintains the largest inventory of parts for all makes and models of yard trucks in the nation.
