Thank you to everyone who attended our 40th anniversary celebration this past Saturday at Roses. A special thanks to all the cardiac arrest, heart attack, trauma and stroke survivors that attended the event.

While washing trucks this morning C shift found a painted rock beside the station. The rock expressed gratitude for 40 years of service. This was a great way to start the day. You can expect to see this rock hidden around town.

The mini series on MCDEMS written by Richelle Bailey concludes today. The link to the final story is below. Thank you McDowell County for all the support shown to us this week during our 40th Anniversary.
Commitment. Compassion. Service.

Many thanks to several of our patients who are enrolled within the Community Paramedic Program for sharing their story and thoughts on our program. McDowell's Community Paramedic Program saved nearly 1.3 million dollars in the first three years by reducing high utilization of EMS and ER services for non-emergent issues. More importantly it improved the health and overall quality of life for hundreds of patients in McDowell.
Before the Community Care Paramedic Program came into his life, Bobby Bell said he was his own worst enemy, which sent him to the emergency room frequently.
