The Lower School gathered this morning for a Rosh Hashanah assembly where the students sang, danced, and recited several blessings for the new year. Early Childhood and Lower School music teacher Naomi Cohen blew the shofar as the students called out the sounds.

Students in grade 7 capped off their Staycation with a visit to Kindergarten classes. The students worked together to make challah, build blocks, read books, and play games.

Grade 9 advisories participated in several Hesed activities this morning. Some students visited the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle. The students cleaned the dining areas, prepared cutlery for service, and readied the food for service.

Students in 5-710 sang Hayamim Chol'fim during music class as they prepare to celebrate Rosh HaShanah next week. The song translates to "The days are passing, the year is passing. But the melody always remains."
