An Claidheamh Soluis, translated from Irish Gaelic means "The Sword of Light." That sword in ancient Celtic folklore was a talisman and a rally point used to spread culture and enlightenment among all people. That same tradition continues with the work and programs of The Celtic Arts Center. It shares and promotes the rich, multi-faceted cultures of the Celts to the community at large by presenting a wide range of concerts, critically-acclaimed plays, and special holiday events, along with our famous and Los Angeles' longest running traditional music seisiún (Celtic jam session) held every Monday night. Additionally the Center offers unique classes, seminars, and workshops for people of all ages and interests that emphasize Celtic themes and contributions to the world today.
