Formerly a grain mill, the California Building was the first art studio building in the NE area. It is now a haven for a diverse group of over 80 artists, the California Building features painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, digital graphic artists and unique custom art makers such as glass shapers and iron workers.
The building owners, John Kremer and Jennifer Young, have a long commitment to arts, community, and arts sustainability in Northeast Minneapolis. It is open to the public the second Saturday of each month from 11am-4pm.
