The three simple words, “I am alive,” can bring peace of mind during disasters. After Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Puerto Ricans had very little connectivity to tell their loved ones they were safe. To meet those needs, our Red Cross teams are taking mobile hotspots on some aid routes. We have been able to provide people with a way to connect with loved ones, inform family members of their safety, charge their phones, and access information on the internet. https://redcrosschat.org/2017/10/09/humanitarian-needs-food-water-data/
