Affordable Marine Service was launched in 1986 by Dennis and Laura-Marie Allen. Both Dennis and Laura-Marie are boaters themselves and are well aware of what their fellow boaters have come to expect from a marine repair facility.
Here at AMS we service and repair all makes of boats as well as all brands of power packages. Our Certified mechanics are fully qualified to handle any task. As well as being fully insured, our service & repair facility is unrivaled in the San Diego area.

We have the capability of offering a vast array of knowledge in all aspects of boat service and repair including engines (both inboard and outboard), outdrive repair and replacement, boat handling accessories, maintenance as well as performance and communication products.
And for the fishermen / women out there, we can also get you fully prepped and ready for the season with all types of on board bait systems, outriggers, etc. You name it. If it has to do with boats, we tackle it!

Our shop facilities are conveniently located in the downtown San Diego area with easy access allowing for quick and painless boat delivery and pick up. AMS is large enough to host up to 50 boats. We are fully equipped with a 30,000 lb. heavy duty hoist, forklifts, specialty tooling, diagnostic equipment and an onsite Parts Dept.

The AMS Showroom is open 5 days per week (6 days per week during the summer months) for parts, service or to discuss your particular situation with one of our technicians. Our goal is to have you ready for the water, assuring you a safe and pleasurable trip each and every time out.
