**E:32 Update** Thankfully it's been a mild winter and we haven't had a huge need for more bed space due to the cold, but we are excited to see the new renovation taking shape. We finished installation of the High Efficiency Mini Split Heating and Air Systems thanks to J&J Plumbing and J&M Heating and Air yesterday. These units are wall mounted and ductless which will help reduce the added costs of operating our Emergency Shelter Area (E-Emergency 32-Below freezing). If you would like to help with the renovation please contact us to volunteer or donate online @ www.beaconmission.com/donate "Since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1

The Header on our website www.beaconmission.com is "For the Glory of Christ". This statement is from 1 Corinthians 10:31 where the Apostle Paul is writing about the motive behind actions. To the believer he encourages us also in this verse by saying, "whatever we do, we do for the glory of God." At the Beacon, we believe in living out the glory of God in our lives. This past week I witnessed Gene (Executive Director) and Amos Love (Men's Director) working on the bathroom in the E-32 (Emergency Shelter) area. I'm so thankful for men like these who take the calling of the Bible and it's Word and put it into action. Building a bathroom and the cost of labor is huge. Instead of paying to have it done, they are using their God given skills to complete what they can. This is just one example of how the shelter staff tries to glorify God in the shelter work/ministry. If you were to read down a couple more verses from 31 you would see 1 Corinthians 10:33 which goes hand-in-hand with why we glorify God with our lives, "For I am not seeking my own good, but the good of many, so that they may be saved".
