The ARC of Aurora

The Arc of Aurora supports people with Developmental Disabilities and their families through individual, class and systems change advocacy, and training and education. Established in 1975, The Arc of Aurora serves those who live in Aurora city proper. The Arc of Aurora is privately funded through donations. We do not receive any public dollars to support our individual, class or systems change advocacy support.

To The Arc of Aurora, Advocacy is acting with or on behalf of an individual or class in the least intrusive manner to resolve an issue or to obtain a needed support or service. Advocacy is essential in maintaining, improving and sustaining the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities.

The Arc of Aurora does not receive funds from the state or federal government to provide advocacy. We do not ever find ourselves in a conflict of interest on who’ll we serve — we serve YOU! All the money that supports our work is privately donated. We work for each individual we serve with his/her consent.

The Arc of Aurora works hard to make sure you get what you need from the systems that are paid to provide it! We ask that you help support us through annual membership and volunteer work — Together we make a Powerful Team!
