Jesus' purpose in coming to earth was to enable people of all nations to have an authentic and relevant relationship with his Father. Jesus taught unequivocally that he is the only way to the Father, the only source of forgivenss from our defiance against a holy God. We are God's people because we are followers, or apprentices, of Jesus the Christ. Once a person accepts Jesus by faith for who he is and what he did, the rest of life is a journey of living out a new life of purpose and fulfillment.
