St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church is located in the heart of Benton Harbor, Michigan, at the corner of Colfax and Kline. The members of our congregation range from old to young and come from many different countries and cultures. We worship each Sunday morning at 9 for an hour long service. Bible study follows after the church service.
Our congregation is Christian, meaning we teach that Jesus Christ came as the Savior of the whole world, to free us from the dangers of hell and sin. This is God’s free gift to us! Our congregation is Lutheran, which means we hold that the Bible is 100% God’s Word, and is therefore 100% perfect. Our congregation is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), and is affiliated with Michigan Lutheran High School and Grace Lutheran Grade School, both in St. Joseph, MI.
